Hobby or madness?

I have been stitching like a madwoman. Or at the very least, like a woman who needs more hobbies. *grins*

Tried my hand at hardanger. Yeah... that's actually two different shades of red. But really I was just trying to see if I "could"... and I can. Next time I'll actually, you know, use the right supplies. :p

Christmas ornaments... I feel like it's been a really RED year...

Also decided to try my hand at a 15-sided biscornu. I really loved this when it was all said and done and will definitely be doing more in the future.

And finally... the one piece I said I absolutely would not start before my SE cruise not only started, but finished!

I love blackwork! I know that this is not quite it, but the idea is there :) Absolutely beautiful!

I get what you're saying. It almost gives the same "lacy" effect. It was really fun to stitch because the pattern kind of pulled you along. I'd start a motif and think, "Last one before I go to bed." but then I would finish and have a little thread left and figure I had just start the next one to finish that up and next thing I'd realize, I would be mostly done with that one and had might as well finish it too. Hahaha!

Lovely work! So happy to see someone carrying on the hardanger tradition. When I finally learned how to do it I was surprised at how easy it is, even the cutting part. Continued best of luck on your stitching learning journey.
