Bookmarks, Butterfly

Okay I found those bookmarks so here's the image heavy post I promised last time.

I'm not sure what flowers these are.

Or these... they're not peonies, are they?

I really like that they didn't go for poinsettias. Poinsettias are beautiful, don't get me wrong, but as a December baby I at least get kind of tired of them after a while. Why couldn't we get Christmas Cactus as our flower? At least that's actually a flower...

/cough/ sorry, didn't mean to go on a mini rant!

This is the one I'm starting now, but... well, it's off center. I have no idea how this happened. And I don't mean a little, I counted and one margin is where the tip of my thumb touches that crease and the other is where my needle is stuck in the cloth. It will be extremely noticeable.

I'm seriously considering ripping it out and starting over, as frustrating as that always is... but I don't have a lot of certain colors that I've used on the butterfly. I don't know if I can do that, much as I want to... /sigh.

I'd say these for November are chrysanthemums, but for October? May be, calendula?

The people over in Dreamwidth agree with you on the chrysanthemum, but someone looked up October and apparently it's marigold. That makes sense!

Thanks for your comment.

Very good work. I've got those bookmark patterns but have never done them. I might have to dig it out. Thanks.

They were a lot of fun, I hope you enjoy them.

The bookmarks look really lovely. No idea what the November flowers are.

I hope you won't have to start over with the bottom project. Would it be noticable when it's framed?

Probably not, I'm a little concerned if an inch of fabric is enough for a framer to work with... I really don't want to start over, so maybe I'll just hope that it is.

Also two different people (here and another in the Dreamwidth community) think it's chrysanthemum, so that's a good working guess. Thank you!

I love them. Especially the colors for October. So bright but fall-ish. I'm already ready for fall. Hahah!

I'm thinking that will be enough to frame on the butterfly so I wouldn't worry too much. They may have to pin it before lacing just to make sure it doesn't "shift", but they often do that anyway. :)

Thank you! Haha, yeah fall is so beautiful, I really love the changing colors of the trees.

Yeah, I've already decided not to worry about it and move on to doing much more of the pattern. It's now way too late to frog even if I changed my mind and wanted to, lol.
