Christmas eve? Gosh, you're fast. :) It looks good. I really like that delicate border. :)

Well... this may be my fastest finish ever when talking stitches/time period. I think the fact that there were no color changes and not much need to go back and forth to the pattern helped. As did a christmas day Doctor Who marathon ( I don't even want to think of how many hours I stitched without stopping that day. It is lucky I didn't develop a blood clot!) and seeing all the new finishes posted to the stitch from stash challenge I'm a part of on FB. Nothing like a little friendly competition. :p

Nice. I love red work samplers.

Thanks! I was a little worried I might get sick of red before it was all said and done since I only work one piece at a time, but, surprisingly, not too much...

i have to admit single-color pieces certainly do look classy.

i've got a friend who loves things like this - which is a headache for me, because i want to stitch something for her, but i'm not so sold on single-color pieces myself. because i'm an PITA, i'm considering stitching a sampler in glow-in-the-dark thread.... ;)

good job!

My first thought re: glow in the dark thread is that that would be AWESOME. Especially if the thread didn't look obviously glow in the dark-like in regular light.

You know... You've really got me thinking. I just got Hare Apparent with the intention of stitching it for someone else but, frankly, wasn't look forward to all that red (again). But NOW I'm thinking, red fabric stitched with DMCs glow in the dark "white" thread. Mwahahahahah!

*grins* always happy to contribute bad ideas to the group. honestly, the only way i think i could make it through a single-color sampler would be to do it in glow-in-the-dark thread. if there was a mischevious part to it, i'm not sure i could take it.

go forth and glow!
