Christmas stitching
27th-Dec-2008 03:34 pm
Hi everyone,
I couldn't believe how fast Christmas had crept up on me this year, so I am suprised at myself for getting my Christmas stitching completed for a few people I was stitching for. (only just)
I just wanted to share a few of them with you.

This was a free kit I got from cross stitcher magazine and as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to stitch it for my boyfriend. I thought he was really sweet. He was great fun to stitch and my boyfriend loved it.

A close up of the bear. I enjoyed stitching the little gold stars onto the piece too.

This is a bib I stitched for my beautiful niece Heidi. I saw the bib when I was walking around spotlight one day and knew straight away that I wanted to buy it and stitch something on the front for Heidi. I started stitching the bib in the last week of November and it really didn't take me long at all. I have put my phone on her last name for protection reasons.

And finally a Christmas card to go with Heidi's bib. I found this little pattern in cross stitcher magazine and knew I wanted to stitch it since it was Heidi's first Christmas this year. You can't really see it all that well with the pastel colors against the pink aida but it looks better in person. I attatched the star myself which wasn't supposed to be there but I thought it added a nice touch.
This was a bit of a panic issue for me as I had left stitching till the last minute because of my crazy hours at work I was doing so didn't have much time at all. I finished it in about 2 and a half days which sounds like alot but I wasn't stitching that whole time. I finished the card late on Christmas eve. :-)

Thanks for looking!
Happy stitching x

Oops, I just thought to myself 'actually there are two bears' Haha. You might be talking about the Christmas bear. I think he is cute too! I loved stitching his little scarf. The bib's bear is Peaches.

Thanks, I think the bib is very sweet too. My sister is already worried about using it on Heidi. :-) She would like to put it away instead. Haha. I knew that would happen.

Thank you :) the last one is from a magazine called 'cross stitcher' but unfortunately I don't have the number of which issue it was.
